As the Pet Owner, you testify that:
i. Your pet(s) has been in good health for the last 30 days, and has not had any contagious illnesses of any kind. You are aware that vaccines do not protect against all contagious illnesses, and that Beloved Beasties are not medically trained professionals and cannot diagnose illnesses in your pet(s). Beloved Beasties is not responsible for any claims made against Beloved Beasties and its director Serin Gioan as a result of your failure to inform Beloved Beasties of any pre-existing conditions your pet(s) may have.
ii. You recognise that you have a duty to disclose all relevant information, including medical conditions, personality concerns and behaviours, regarding your pet(s), to Beloved Beasties. You agree that you have disclosed and will continue to disclose this information, understanding that Beloved Beasties relies on this information to provide a safe environment for both humans and animals.
iii. You understand that your dog(s) may interact with other dogs while on walks with Beloved Beasties. You understand that dogs play with their mouths and paws, which can result in nicks and scratches on your dog(s). While Beloved Beasties provides reasonable care and supervision during walks, you understand and agree that Beloved Beasties may not notice minor nicks or scratches, and therefore you may not be notified.
You certify that your dog(s) is not aggressive, and you understand that if your dog(s) acts aggressively or exhibits unacceptable behaviour, you are responsible for their behaviour, and you authorise Beloved Beasties to take necessary action and use any required equipment (such as a slip leash or muzzle) to control your dog(s) for the protection of other people and animals.
You allow Beloved Beasties to obtain veterinarian medical treatment for your pet(s) if it appears that the pet(s) is ill, injured or exhibits any other behaviour that would reasonably suggest that they require medical treatment. Medical treatment may require transportation to receive care, and you authorise such transportation. You agree that you are fully responsible for the cost of any transportation and medical treatment of your pet(s). Should attempts to contact you and your emergency contact fail, you grant Beloved Beasties full authority to make decisions regarding medical treatment in the best interests of your pet(s). You agree to assume all risk of illness, disease, harm or otherwise to your pet(s) under the care of Beloved Beasties. Furthermore, you agree to assume all risk of the consequences associated with any decisions made by Beloved Beasties in the best interests of your pet(s) relating to their transportation and medical care.
You agree to be solely financially responsible for all acts or behaviour of your pet(s) while in the care of Beloved Beasties, which may include the payment of damages for the injury caused by your pet(s) to other animals, humans, and/or Beloved Beasties. In addition, you agree that if your pet(s) is injured by another pet, you hereby release Beloved Beasties from all liability and financial responsibility for such injury. You further understand that if your pet(s) bites another human or pet, Beloved Beasties may contact the appropriate authorities.
You grant us permission to use any photos or videos of your pet(s) on social media, our website, or in our marketing upon using any of our services.
You agree that Beloved Beasties shall not be responsible or liable for any lost, stolen or damaged personal property belonging to you or your dog(s). This includes any burglary or robbery that occurs while we deliver our services.
We understand that life can be unpredictable and that things can happen unexpectedly. However, we do require adequate notice to ensure we can organise our schedule, manage our finances, and ensure all our four-legged clients get the service they deserve. Therefore, we require 48 hours’ notice for a cancellation, after which 100% of the service price is due even if the service is not delivered. If you do not let me know in advance and I travel to your home to deliver a service, 100% of the service price is due, even if the service is not delivered.
Here in the UK, the weather can be pretty dreadful at times! However, most dogs are still happy to walk in rain, sleet and snow, so unless the conditions create unmanageable hazards outside, we will still walk your dog(s) regardless of the weather. If the conditions are unsafe, or if your dog(s) particularly hates going outside in bad weather, or if it is too hot to safely walk your dog(s), we will provide enrichment activities indoors, such as scent work/treat hunting, trick training, puzzle toys/snuffle mats, long-lasting chews, and energetic play, to provide appropriate mental and physical stimulation as an alternative to a walk. This service is at the same price as regular walks.
Should your dog(s) be unfit to walk when we arrive at your home, we will conduct an assessment of their condition and make an informed decision accordingly. If they are feeling sick or are injured, we will spend the allocated walk time with them, engaging in appropriate activities to occupy them, and we will update you on their condition via message to ensure you can monitor how they are doing.
If their condition is bad enough to cause significant concern, I will take your dog(s) to your agreed vet and seek professional medical advice. I will be in contact with you to agree on treatment options for your pet, and will only decide on appropriate treatment if I am unable to get hold of you or your emergency contact. I will cover the costs of treatment up front, but expect reimbursement within 7 days.
With your consent, we can collect your dog(s) by car and transport them to local walking areas. In order to travel in our vehicle, proof of vaccination must be provided - no unvaccinated dogs will be transported. All vaccinations must have been given by a qualified vet and be licensed in the UK. The car is insured to transport animals and is regularly checked, maintained, and serviced as needed. Any rubbish or bags of excrement are bagged and disposed of in the appropriate bins. The car is regularly cleaned and disinfected to ensure good hygiene levels, including laundering seat covers and towels at high temperature. All dogs will have their own harness on and will be secured via a bungee seatbelt clip in the car. There is a dog gate to ensure dogs cannot interfere with the driver during travel. If you wish for your dog(s) to be crated during travel, please provide your own crate for this purpose.
You agree to hold Beloved Beasties harmless in the event of injury or accident during transportation.
If any animal is injured or becomes unwell while in our care, immediate treatment will be sought with a veterinary professional, either the client’s vet if they have provided details, or an appropriate nearby surgery. Consent will be obtained from the client to make decisions based on the vet’s advice. Before any treatment is given, we will contact the client wherever possible, and if we are unable to get hold of them we will contact their emergency contact, in order to obtain consent for decisions based on the vet’s advice. Only if we are unable to make contact will we make decisions on treatment for the benefit of the pet(s).
For minor issues and injuries, we keep a dog first aid kit in the car, and we are first aid trained to deliver first aid care where appropriate. The client will be kept informed of any sickness or injury to their pet(s) and the care given, however minor.
You release, waive, discharge, indemnify and agree to hold Beloved Beasties harmless for any and all manner of damages, injury, claims, loss, liabilities, cost or expenses, attorney’s fees, causes of action or suit, whatsoever in law or equity, arising out of or related to the services provided by Beloved Beasties, including without limitation: any inaccuracy in any statement made by yourself or information provided by you to Beloved Beasties, including but not limited to destruction of property, dog bites, injury and transmission of disease, and any action by yourself that is in breach of the terms of this agreement.
Beloved Beasties is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled safely and responsibly. We collect your personal identification information (such as name, address, email address, phone number, and emergency contact details), information about your pet (such as pet name, breed, age, medical conditions, dietary restrictions, behaviour, and training needs), and service information (such as dates and times of services booked, location details, and specific instructions relating to your pet(s)).
We use this information to allow us to provide you with our pet care service, and to communicate with you about said services, as well as complying with our legal obligations. We will never sell or rent your personal information to third parties, but we may share your information with third-party service providers such as payment processing and scheduling software, or with law enforcement/authorities when legally required to do so or to protect our legal rights.
We have appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your personal information private and protect it from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, since no security measure is infallible, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
It is your right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct or update this information, to request the deletion of your personal information (subject to legal and contractual restrictions), and to object to the processing of your personal information. Should you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact serin@belovedbeasties.co.uk. Please be aware that we may not be able to provide you with our services if you ask us to delete the personal information we use to keep ourselves and your pet(s) safe.
